Retrieve anaba contacts directly from your phone (via Outlook Contact)
By synchronizing your anaba contacts with Outlook Contact, you'll also be able to synchronize them with your phone and see the name, position and company of the caller. No more hesitations, you'll finally be able to tell the difference between an important customer and yet another sales canvasser 🎉.

It's very simple. All you have to do from the anaba extension for Outlook is go to my preferences and activate the "Start synchronization" button.
You'll then need to enter your Microsoft credentials to authorize synchronization, and that's all there is to it!
If you are a contributor and the option is grayed out, you need to ask one of the administrators to give you permission to activate synchronization from the user management page on the web application.
All your anaba contacts will be added or updated in a dedicated Outlook Contact "anaba" folder. Updates are made every 12 hours.
Once you've activated the synchronization between anaba and Outlook Contact, you need to synchronize them with your phone contacts.
To do this, simply check that the synchronization of your contacts in your e-mail account is active.
Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts. Click on your Outlook pro account and make sure that contact synchronization is active, as shown below.
If you haven't already installed your Outlook account in the Mail application on your iPhone, follow Apple's instructions.
Finally, from your phone contact list click on "Group" at the top left of the screen and tick "anaba". That's it 🎉
You can stop synchronization at any time, and contacts from anaba will disappear from your phone contact list.
Once synchronization between anaba and Outlook Contact has been activated, you simply need to activate synchronization of your Outlook contacts with your phone from the Outlook mobile application, by going to Settings (the little ⚙️ at bottom left) > Click on your Office account > Synchronize your contacts.
All your anaba contacts will then be added to your Outlook contact list, updating existing contacts without affecting others.
For your first test, we invite you to export your Outlook contact list before activating synchronization. This way, you can easily return to the original state if you wish.
You can stop synchronization at any time, and contacts from anaba will disappear from your phone's contact list.
Synchronization takes place automatically every 12 hours. If you add or modify a contact in anaba, you'll see it appear in your Outlook Contact directory, and therefore on your phone, no more than 30 minutes later.
Only contacts with e-mail are synchronized in Outlook Contact. We use the e-mail to identify whether the contact already exists in Outlook Contact. If a contact already exists in Outlook Contact, it is updated with the anaba information.
Contacts from anaba are automatically created and updated in a new "anaba" folder in the user's Outlook contact area. To simply identify on your phone a contact updated from anaba from a personal contact, note that all anaba contacts have the anaba logo in their profile picture.
If you update a contact from Outlook Contact, the update will not be made in anaba. If you want a change to be visible to everyone, remember to update the contact in anaba.
Contact update details in Outlook Contact :
- First name: replaces the existing first name with the existing value in anaba, if a different value exists.
- Last name: replaces the existing last name with the existing value in anaba, if a different value exists.
- Position: replaces the existing position with the existing value in anaba, if a different value exists.
- Company: replaces the existing company with the existing value in anaba, if a different value exists.
- Category: replaces the existing category with the existing value in anaba, if a different value exists.
- Fixed phone: does not overwrite the existing phone. Adds a new number marked "Office")
- Cell phone: does not overwrite existing phone. Adds a new number with the word "Mobile")
- Address: does not overwrite existing address. Adds a new address marked "Work")
- Memo: replaces existing note with existing value in anaba, if a different value exists.
